Feuerkasten

The “Feuerkasten“, when opened, confronts those who is interact with it with a bizarre and primeval scene. Instead of modern entertainment technology, one is greeted by mechanically moving, bird-headed metal monsters that move towards each other in a craggy cave landscape, screeching and spitting fire. As prisoners of the same neverending sequence of movements, nostalgia and exasperation are expressed through them, paired with the triumph of being a living side effects of progress in media and technology.
